Let ordinary life be the reference point
Drink water if you are thirsty, eat and rest normally, take prescribed medication and keep existing care plans. For an animal, maintain familiar feeding, movement and sleep routines.
Some people notice calm, tiredness, emotion or vivid dreams. Others notice nothing distinct. Neither response proves that a session did or did not work.
Observe without manufacturing evidence
A brief note can help if you want to remember a change, but repeated checking can create tension and make ordinary variation feel significant.
- Use simple observations rather than conclusions
- Compare with the usual pattern over time
- Do not provoke or test an animal for a response
Know when observation is not enough
Persistent or worsening symptoms, distress, pain or concerning behaviour need appropriate medical, psychological or veterinary assessment. A follow-up message about the session should never delay that contact.
